New Policies to Better Serve You
Updated January 22, 2004
"Only the Best of Cozumel"
SATISFACTION GUARANTEE We at Aldora Divers know very well what the quality dive experience is all
about, and that is what we work very hard to deliver--everyday. But sometimes, no matter how much we
care, nor how hard we work, things just don’t work out to the paying customer’s
satisfaction. Occasionally that may be weather or underwater safety related causes and there is just nothing we can do about
that. However, if there are things that we have done, or failed to do--that did not meet the expectations of our divers then we will take
responsibility.
Therefore, if on any given day you are not satisfied with our performance, or we failed to meet the expectations we have
created, then we will issue a rain check for one free day of diving. The rain check is transferable and can be used for subsequent trips to Cozumel.
DIVING ON DAY OF ARRIVAL
As you may know, Aldora dives are so long on the morning 2 tank trips, that very
few of our customers desire more nitrogen load in the afternoon. That being the
case, and our need to have at least 4 divers just to break even on a trip, we
have seldom been able to offer afternoon dive trips. However, we have noticed
that many of our loyal customers arrive in Cozumel after the morning boats have
gone out, and even if they arrive at 10am, they will miss a day of diving. We
know that each diving day is precious to you and we
have decided to do something about it. From now on, it is our policy, that
anyone diving with us for 3 or more morning dives, will be able to dive in the
afternoon on the day of arrival-no matter if it is just one person. The sites
for these arrival day trips must of course be limited, and there also has to be
some reasonable limit as to time of day (no night dives), but rest assured it is
our firm policy to get you out.
GUARANTEED NIGHT DIVES
It usually has been the case that most dive shops will only take out a night
trip if a minimum number of divers go. That is understandable as it takes a
pretty large number of divers to make any trip profitable, or at least avoid a
loss. On the other hand we well know that to you your dive trips are pretty
precious, and that many find the night dive to be the highlight of the trip. It
has long been a policy to accommodate such divers but it is important to
formalize that policy so you know what to expect. Therefore:
For any diver who is diving with Aldora for more than one day, we will guaranty
them access to a night dive on Wednesday or Saturday nights regardless if we
have a minimum number of divers to go. That's it, plan your trip to include one
Wednesday or Saturday and you are guaranteed a night dive. Simple!
Guaranteed Diving When a Small Boat Won’t Do
Diving Cozumel is best done in smaller, fast boats with small groups of people.
That is the way Aldora has done it since the beginning. Unfortunately there are
days in which the wind and waves kick up and the Port Captain closes the port to
all boats less than 40 feet. This is especially frustrating for us as we don’t
run little pangas like mom and pop operators, and our boats are much more
seaworthy than some of the beat up old 40 foot boats that are legal to venture
out. In those cases we have scrambled to rent a large boat so that those of our
divers, who want to dive, can get to. But we have not always been successful and
I know it is a great disappointment to our customers who have to standby as the
cattle boats do get to go out.
Now, with a cooperative agreement with the 42 foot boat “Arriciffe”, we can
assure our customers that if those sort of conditions ocurr we will have that
boat at our disposal. Aldora Divers then can insure our customers will be able
to dive…if anyone can!
